PENRITH BUILDING SOCIETY COMPLAINTS PROCEDURES - SEE THE LINKS ON OUR SAVINGS PAGE AND MORTGAGES PAGE
Payment Protection Insurance – PPI
There is a new deadline of 29 August 2019 to complain about the sale of a PPI policy.
By checking whether you had PPI cover or making a complaint about the mis-selling of PPI, neither your relationship with the Society, nor your credit score will be negatively affected.
The Financial Conduct Authority – FCA
The FCA are regulators of the financial sector and protect consumers. They provide information about PPI and can help consumers understand it, but cannot give advice about individual circumstances or complaint.
The Financial Ombudsman Service – FOS
The FOS is a free, independent service for settling disputes between financial businesses and their customers. They can deal with complaints about a wide range of financial issues, including PPI. A consumer may wish to contact the FOS if they have made a complaint to the Society and aren’t happy with the response or don’t receive a response within 8 weeks.
